A Texas rancher who beat his daughter’s accused molester to death moments after he found out that he had raped his daughter will not be charged with his homicide.

A grand jury decided not to indict the father, who was 24 at the time, for beating Jesus Mora Flores, the rapist, after finding out that he had abused his daughter behind a barn.

In his call with 911, officials said that the father called for help as another man had passed away.

The father told the dispatchers: “I need an ambulance. This guy was raping my daughter and I don’t know what to do.”

The attack happened on June 9, 2012, at an isolated ranch near Shiner, Texas.

A witness saw Jesus Flores forcibly carrying the girl into a secluded area and ran to find the father.

The father ran towards the screams of the daughter to find Flores and the girl without their clothes.

The father inflicted several blows to the man’s head and neck area, said the documents of the court.

Experts that examined the girl and the body of Flores confirmed that a sexual assault had happened in the case.

The father and the daughter were not named in order to protect the minor and her identity.

The father called 911 from a cellphone and did not know where he was, which made it harder for authorities to find him and rescue Jesus Flores.

The father was never arrested by the authorities, but the death of Jesus Flores was investigated as a homicide case.

District Attorney Heather McMinn said:

Under the law in the state of Texas deadly force is authorized and justified in order to stop an aggravated sexual assault or sexual assault. All the evidence provided by the sheriff’s department and the Texas Rangers indicated that’s what was occurring when the victim’s father arrived at the scene.
