Thailand Fisherman Could Make £2,400,000 Million After Finding Massive Chunk Of Whale Vomit

A fisherman from Thailand is on the way to become a millionaire after they found a massive chunk of whale vomit that is estimated worth around £2,400,000 Million.

Yep, whale vomit.

Also, this whale vomit is potentially the biggest ever to be found in human history.

Ambergris is considered by many as one of the treasures of the sea because it is used to produce expensive perfumes and scentless alcohol.

The gigantic blob that we are talking about right now was found by Naris Suwannasang, a 60-year-old fisherman, when he was out walking by the seaside in Nakhon Si Thammarat, which is located in the south of Thailand.

He spotted a load of lumps that looked a bit like rocks.

He called up his cousins and loaded the unusual looking thing.

After it got back home, they tested the weird-looking blob by burning it with a lighter to check if it melted.

This simple test allowed them to get convinced that it was ambergris.

The whale vomit that he found is around 100 kilograms.

He has been offered 96,000,000 Thai baht (£23,740) per kilogram for his find.

He will be getting around £2.4 million for his entire find.

He currently earns around £500 per month by working as a fisherman.

Talking about his find, the man said:

The businessman told me that he will come to check the quality of the ambergris later and the price shocked me. I could receive around 960,000THB (23,740GBP) per kilogram if the ambergris I found is the best grade.

He is also anxious right now because the material will be analyzed properly.

Naris will also go to the police in order to inform them about his find because he is afraid people might steal it from his house.

Ambergris is produced to ease the passage of large or sharp objects through the gastrointestinal tract of a sperm whale.

After the secretion happens, the whale vomit is released and it floats across the ocean.

At first, this vomit has a very foul smell, and once it hardens, it has a lovely smell.

It also emits a long-lasting aroma, which is why it is loved by the perfume industry.
