Tiger dies due to heat stroke in Sariska Tiger Reserve

On June 9, 2019, a Tiger died in the Sarsika Tiger Reserve, which is located in the District of Alwar in Rajasthan.

The tiger was a 7 to 8-year-old male tiger that was moved to the Sarsika Tiger Reserve 2 months ago from the Ranthambhore National Park.

An autopsy has also been conducted on the tiger.

Arindam Tomar, the Chief Wildlife Warden, said that the exact cause of its death will be clear after the reports of the autopsy will be back.

Tomar added that they believe that the tiger died after getting a heat stroke.

The warden also mentioned that the tiger had some injuries after he was released from an enclosure. The male tiger was tranquilized on Saturday.

After the death of the male tiger, the Sariska Tiger Reserve only has 3 tigers, 8 tigresses, and 5 cubs left.
