UP Toll Plaza Staff Brutally Beaten Up By Thugs After Being Asked To Pay Toll Tax

Noida, Uttar Pradesh: An employee of a toll plaza on a national express in the Gautam Buddh Nagar was brutally beaten up by 7 men after they were asked to pay toll tax.

The incident was confirmed by the police on Wednesday.

An FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged into the incident that happened at the toll plaza on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in the Dadri area of Greater Noida.

No arrests have been made so far.

In the video that was shared on social media, 7 men could be seen walking towards the toll counter.

They were then joined by 2 men that were riding a scooter.

The men dragged the toll plaza staff out on the road and brutally thrashed him.

There were only 3 to 4 vehicles at the toll plaza while a man that was already standing went away after the violence erupted.

2 men that could be seen on a scooter also took a u-turn right away after the violence erupted.

Vishal Pandey, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Greater Noida, said:

The incident took place over some dispute regarding the collection of toll tax from the accused by the plaza official. An FIR has been registered in the case and strict action will be taken against the guilty.

Vishal Pandey said that the police are now finding the men that were involved in the brutal beating of the staff.

The toll plaza employee is currently admitted at a local government hospital.
