The old conflict between America and Russia is known to the whole world since the start of the Cold War.
Evidently, the nations are not done keeping an eye on one another on Earth. They are so skeptical of one another that they have taken it to the next level – space.
An American government spy satellite is being stalked by a Russian satellite in the Earth’s orbit.
As indicated by The Verge, space trackers have discovered that the Russian gadget is up to some snooping. It is clearly believed to be designed for the purpose of examining different satellites of other nations.
Satellite spotters have been eagerly checking the conduct of the Russian Kosmos 2542 that was launched last year in November. It is presently circling in a similar way as the National Reconnaissance Office’s covert satellite, which is known as USA 245.
NRO is a US military arm that completes observation and reconnaissance with its large number of spy satellites.
In any case, that Russian satellite is really following the American is only a hypothesis.
Michael Thompson, a satellite and astrodynamics expert from Purdue University, told the Verge that “[It] is suspicious, however, doesn’t prove anything, as there are various satellites in that orbit.”
