The film is a very sincere attempt to portray the lives of Vijay fans in Kerala – their selfless love for Ilayathalapathy, their expectations, frustrations, and challenges from family, society and friends and finally their emergence as real heroes in lives. The film is treated as a fun-filled entertainer and has been written after a lot of interaction with Vijay fans across Kerala. A lot of real-life characters and incidents has been cinematically interwoven into the script, which had made it a novel take on the subject.

Pokkiri Simon is a fun-filled mass entertainer starring Sunny Wayne and Prayaga Martin. Simon (Sunny Wayne), Biju (Jacob Gregory) and Ganesh (Sarath) are local boys who are bound by their love towards Ilayathalapathy, Vijay (Actor). Though their parents want them to earn a living, they lead a careless life till it takes an accidental turn.

Simon is the hard-core fan of actor Vijay. He is not just a namesake fan, but someone who has made Vijay and his superhit flick Pokkiri a part of his life. Better known as Pokkiri Simon, the man dresses up as Vijay’s character Tamizh and along with his friend, Love Today Ganesh, takes ‘fangiri’ to another level by naming their street Ilayathalapathy Vijay Nagar. They also suffer from every symptom of a Vijay fan, including rivalry to Surya fans.

The story happens in Illayathalapathy Vijay Nagar. Their little problems and psyche form the crux of the movie.
