How to Enable OTG in One Plus 6/5T/5/3T/3, Which are Running on OxygenOS

OTG is one of the most useful features nowadays in Mobile devices. You can use a pen drive, hard drive or external controller for games. You can listen to music as well. Most of the manufacturer nowadays provide this facility on their phones. Which goes without saying is such a useful feature. What is the issue regarding OTG in One Plus 66/5T/5/3T/3?

One of the significant issue in One Plus6/5T/5/3T/3’s OxygenOS. Comes in OTG in One Plus. It’s not that the device doesn’t have the elements, in fact, it not only has the function but works fantastic. However, the OTH feature in the invention is set to be turned off automatically after 10 minutes of the remaining idol. After which if anyone who wishes to use it, has to go and turn it on and then reconnect.

All thanks to the senior Member of XDA. He showed a straightforward way to avoid this, and the best part is no one need to root his phone. Which in many cases is required for solutions like this.

 

 

What do you need to do?

For the solution all your going to need is ADB. It is Android Debug Bridge, which you can easily find when searched on Google. After which you will need to enable USB debugging in your device. Which you can do by going into developer settings. After which you need to install ADB on pc and connect your device.


After which follow these steps.

1- Turn on OTG option in your Device.

2-  Open settings.

3- Go to advance and click on OTG settings.

After which you will be able to see the option, permanently enable OTG.

Then run the add command. Remove the “adb shell” prefix if you are running this command in a terminal emulator on your device.

adb shell settings put global oneplus_otg_auto_disable 0

 

 

That’s it, and you are all done!
