The International Nurses Day 2019 is celebrated across the earth on the 12th of May every year, this is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. The International Council of Nurses also called as the ICN, celebrates the nurses day during May 12 in memory of Florence Nightingale, the founder of Modern Day Nursing.

All nurses across the earth should be thanked for their continuous effort of providing professional care for patients who are suffering so much, for sure their profession and love for their job cannot be neglected.

The first ever Nurses Day was celebrated in 1965, a proposal for the celebration was first presented in 1953, but it was rejected. In 1965 the INC (International Nurses Council) celebrated the nurses day on May 12, and in 1974, it was officially recognized and since then, the Nurses Day has been celebrated during the 12th of May every year.

We all know how nurses serve for us, their profession is considered as one of the best and toughest amongst all. Nurses play a very big role in our modern society, they help sick people get better, do something no other person is willing to do, answer almost every question we have and are the backbone of the health care system on earth.
