Victorville, California: A CCTV installed inside a home captured a pet sitter throwing a puppy on the floor while she was hired to take care of the puppy.

A couple from Victorville, California hired a puppy sitter to watch over Lucy, the puppy that can be seen in the video above.

The video shows the woman taking the small dog and slamming little Lucy on the floor.

The couple saw what the pet sitter did after a motion alert from their security camera went off.

The husband was able to yell at the pet sitter and told her to leave.

The couple said the pet sitter apologized and left after she was caught in the act.

Amanda Roy, the owner of Lucy, said, “It’s heartbreaking because the reason we use a pet sitter is because we love our pet and we don’t want to leave her unattended for very long because she is a baby.”

Amanda added, “So we trusted someone to come into our home and look after a pet that we consider a family member.”

The animal control is currently looking into the animal abuse.

The pet sitter was hired by the couple through the Rover Application.

After the incident was reported to them, the company removed the sitter and released a statement.

The Rover App said, “The activity depicted in this video is shocking and appalling. We have permanently deactivated this sitter from our platform and will continue to investigate. Any incident of this nature is extremely rare on our platform, and we take it very seriously. Additionally, we have offered to pay for any veterinary expenses that may have been incurred as a result of this incident. We have been assisting local law enforcement with their investigation and will continue to offer support.”
