Champaran Rape Case: The mutilated body of a 16-year-old girl was found in the Champaran District of Bihar, officials said suspects poured acid on her face.

The police have asked for an autopsy so they could confirm if the teen was raped before she was brutally murdered.

Rajiv Ranjan, the Superintendent of the Champaran Police, said, they are still waiting for the autopsy report of the teenager.

Local residents said the private parts of the 16-year-old girl were also damaged when her mutilated body was found.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 16-year-old girl went outside their house on August 4, 2019, after someone called her.

The mutilated body of the girl was found on the evening of August 5, 2019.

The Champaran police have arrested the primary suspect in the case.

Rajiv Ranjan, the Superintendent of the Champaran Police, said, “A special investigation team has been formed and victim’s mobile phone has been seized.”

Preliminary investigations also revealed that the family of the primary suspect and the family of the teenager were not in good terms.

The families belong to the same village in Champaran.
