2-Year-Old Boy Found Dead In Kansas Motel Room, Autopsy Report Says Kid Was Overdosed On Methadone
Kansas, USA: A 2-year-old boy was found dead in a motel room in Kansas, and his autopsy report suggests that he was overdosed on methadone.
2-year-old Zayden Jaynesahkluah was found unresponsive on May 31, 2019, in a motel in Kansas.
Zayden was staying at the Wichita Motel with his 23-year-old mother Kimberly Compass.
23-year-old Compass is currently facing first-degree murder charges and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
The death of 2-year-old Zayden is a first that is linked to a medical issue, the toddler was being treated for seizures at a hospital in Kansas earlier this year.
The autopsy report of 2-year-old Zayden suggested that Zayden was born prematurely and was staying at the Wichita Motel as their home’s electricity was cut off.
Zayden tested positive for .5 mg/L and .82 mg/L of methadone.
Compass was interviewed after the death of his 2-year-old son, the 23-year-old mother said she saw her son sick after she woke up on May 31.
During the interview, Zayden said, “I became hysterical, which of course, I would. He’s my son. Then I just waited for them to get there to help.”
23-year-old Compass was arrested by the authorities on August 15, 2019, and was sent to prison on a $500,000 bond and a $1 million bond for a probation violation.
According to WIBW, a local news agency, the next court hearing of 23-year-old Compass is on September 5, 2019.
Since 2017, 2-year-old Zayden is the 9th child that is younger than 5-years-old to die in the Wichita Area under suspicious circumstances.
