A 66-year-old man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting his 6-year-old granddaughter in Sydney, Australia.

The 66-year-old grandfather pleaded guilty at the Manly Local Court earlier this week.

The man assaulted his 6-year-old granddaughter while he was babysitting her at his home in Frenchs Forest, Sydney.

The sexual assault happened in June this year.

It is reported that the incident happened in June when the young girl was dropped off to her grandfather’s house.

The 6-year-old girl was watching TV in bed when her grandfather started to tickling her underneath her pants.

Reports suggest the grandfather did the horrific act 3 to 4 times.

The father of the 6-year-old collected her that afternoon and asked his daughter how her day was with her grandpa.

The 6-year-old girl said she “liked the way” grandpa tickles her.

The father asked his daughter where grandpa tickled her, the girl replied, “Sometimes he tickles me down there.”

The father and the uncle of the girl then drove to the house of the grandfather and questioned him what happened earlier today.

The father of the girl asked his dad, “Dad, I will get straight to it … (the girl) told me that you had tickled her under her pants.”

The 66-year-old grandfather replied, “Yeah (the girl) is telling the truth.”

The 66-year-old man was then driven to the Frenchs Forest Police Station.

The grandfather pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one count of intentionally touching a child under 10-years-old.

He will be sentenced on November 22, 2019.
