2 Men Dead After Rollercoaster Car Derails And Plunges Into Ground At Mexican Theme Park
Caught On Cam: 2 men have died at a theme park in Mexico after a rollercoaster car derailed and plunged directly into the ground.
According to Sky News, the incident happened at the La Feria de Chapultepec Amusement Park in Mexico City, Mexico, on September 28, 2019.
A video of the incident also went viral on Social Media, and it showed the rollercoaster derailing off the tracks.
An 18-year-old teen and a 21-year-old man succumbed to their injuries.
A 27-year-old and a 35-year-old man were rushed to the Angeles Mocel Hospital in Mexico City. The 2 men are currently in a stable condition.
According to UNILAD 6 people are currently receiving treatment after they were shocked and traumatized by the incident.

The video shows the car turning upside down off the tracks.
It is reported that lookers and passers heard a crash sound and saw riders hit their heads.
A witness said, “Something crashed too loudly, the carts were going up, so when the last cart comes it suffered a breakdown and two people were already injured. I didn’t see it fall, we saw when it had crashed and the last two people were already injured, full of blood.”
Emergency services were brought in and the amusement park was shut down temporarily as an investigation was conducted.
The authorities at the park are currently trying to find out the reason that caused the rollercoaster car to derail.
It is reported that the amusement park is going to be shut down for 1 to 2 weeks.
A shop owner at the La Feria de Chapultepec Amusement Park in Mexico City, Mexico, said that a fault was reported at the coaster before, but it was never attended by any technicians.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a mechanical failure caused the carriage to come lose and derail from the tracks.
Investigating officers are currently treating the incident as a case of negligent homicide.
