Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been officially selected to be the voice of Maleficent in Hindi, for Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil, an upcoming Disney movie that stars Angelina Jolie.

The announcement was made on the Instagram account of Aishwarya Rai, where she posed a teaser trailer of her dubbing the movie in Hindi.

Aishwarya could be seen wearing the same costume as Maleficent, but with fewer horns.

While posting the video on her Instagram account, Aishwarya wrote, “Maleficent. Happy to be part of the Disney Family.”

Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil is a sequel to Maleficent, which was originally released in 2014. The first movie starred Angelina Jolie, Vivienne Jolie, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Sharlto Copley, Juno Temple, and Imelda Staunton.

Maleficent earned a gross of $241.4 Million USD in Canada and the USA, and made $517.1 million in other countries. The movie racked up a total of $758.5 million while having a budget of $180 million.

Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil will be available to watch in theaters across India on October 18, 2019.

The movie will be available in both English and Hindi.
