Attacked And Killed By Tiger: Half-Eaten Body Of Indian Forest Official Found In Uttarakhand

Pauri, Uttarakhand: A 40-year-old Forest Official from the Kalagarh Divisional Forest Division was attacked and dragged by a tiger on the evening of October 20, 2019, when he was coming back from a patrolling duty.

40-year-old Rajesh Negi was returning from patrolling along with forest guards on the evening of October 20, 2019, when he was attacked by a tiger.

Punit Tomar, the Kalagarh Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), was attacked by a tiger and was dragged into the deep side of the forest.

Members of the patrol team fired in the air to scare the tiger away, but the efforts were no avail.

A search and rescue operation was launched by the forest officials to find and retrieve 40-year-old Rajesh Negi.

Authorities found the half-eaten body of Mr. Negi on the morning of October 21, 2019.

The dead body of Mr. Rajesh Negi was handed over to his family after an autopsy was done by the doctors.
