Transgender Woman Kidnapped, Tortured, And Raped By 2 Men In Pakistan
A transgender woman was dragged out of a car before she was tortured and raped by 2 men in Kamalia, Pakistan.
The transgender woman was traveling with 3 other transgender people to the Mai Maseet Wali Mela, which is heled at the Dhoop Sari village in Pakistan.
On September 20, 2019, the transgender woman and the other transgenders were traveling to Jhan City when 5 men intercepted them and pulled out one of the women.
The men reportedly brought the transgender to a farmhouse.
2 men raped the transgender and 3 watched out.
After the rape, the victim was dropped 20 kilometers away in Sahiwal, where they were collected by Binyamin, a colleague.
According to Binyamin, the Harappa Police did not want to register the case.
Doctors confirmed that the victim was raped, but the police didn’t want to register the case.
It was only last week that the government office of Sahiwal registered the case. It took the victim one month to get justice.
The police have arrested 5 of the suspects, and 2 of them were nominated.
A district officer was forced to order an FIR (First Information Report) as the Harappa Police didn’t want to register a case and didn’t listen to the victim.
The Harappa police and 2 people were threatened to withdraw their case, or else they would face consequences.
After receiving the death threats, the transgenders demanded help from the regional police officer of Sahiwal and the General Police Inspector.
On October 19, 2018, authorities registered a case against the 5 men.
