When you’re about to give birth, it is normal to rush and go to a hospital, but what if you get involved in a horrific accident and lose your baby?

Well, that’s what happened to a poor woman in the United States.

A frantic trip to the emergency room became chaotic for a family in Georgia, USA, when a mother gave birth during a car crash.

Things even got worse after that.

It is said that the family failed to find the newborn baby when the vehicle came to a rest.

According to the police, a woman, whose identity was not shared with the public, was driving her SUV on the morning of Monday in Lilburn, Georgia, as she rushed her pregnant adult daughter and a 1-year-old to the hospital.

The police said that the roads were extremely wet and it was dark.

When the woman made a turn, her vehicle hydroplaned across the road then hit a curb and power pole before it got slammed into a brick wall.

The police body camera footage from the scene shows windows of the SUV were busted out during the impact.

Cepeda Huff and Daniel Bride, 2 police officers, and Sgt. Matt Madden were the first responders at the scene.

A woman reportedly told the police officers that they could not find the baby.

The police officers started to search the newborn baby, using flashlights to search the SUV and the surrounding area.

Officer Huff began searching the backseat of the SUV where the pregnant woman had been sitting.

The police said that the baby was under a seat with the umbilical cord still attached.

Officer Huff gently lifted the baby out from the seat and rushed it to the emergency medical workers.

The entire family that was inside the SUV was also brought to a hospital in the locality.

The newborn baby was placed in a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and was stable.
