Navjot Singh struggling Punjabi singer shot at Sunday evening; relatives found his body near Dera Bassi. Navjot was a struggling singer and released two singles in past which don’t work well. He was living with his parents in Behra Village and also rented a flat in Chandigarh where he practiced his songs.

At Sunday evening around 4 PM, he went to Panchkula to meet his friend after telling at home that he will come back soon. At around 11 PM he called his mother and asked about dinner and said that he would be at home in 5 minutes.

His mother said to police that when he didn’t come back, they called him, but no one picks a call. They went out to find him, and his father spotted his Nissan Micra car near a factory in outskirts of the village. After that, they discovered his bullet-rigged body in a vacant plot near a factory which is only 50 meters away from where hi parked his car.

After the postmortem report doctor said that he was shot five times from close range all bullets passed through his body. Police also found five cartridges near his body.
In the first place, police thought that it could be a robbery or an extortion case but killer didn’t take anything from him. So, after few investigations, they knew that it was not any robbery case.

He was going to his rented flat mostly to practice music from past few months because his new album was going to come soon. His cousin said to police that he saw him near a McDonald at Zirakhpur-Ambala Highway driving a car with some girl sitting next to him. Police now has a clue that it could be a woman angle case.

It’s not been a long time from an incident like this before in Chandigarh when Singer and Director Parmish Verma was shot. At that time Gangster Dilpreet Singh Dhahan had taken responsibility by clamming in the Facebook post. Police are investigating this case as they have been registered this murder case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and they said they would find murder soon.
