The veteran cricketer Irfan Pathan has shared the video of his brother Yusuf Brother reaching the century in the opening game of Ranji Trophy. The Pathan brothers represent Baroda in the domestic tournament of India.
The brotherhood between is a known fact and it is no surprise that Irfan is celebrating the century from Yusuf and has shared it on the social media. The match between Baroda and Madhya Pradesh wasn’t telecasted live as the official broadcaster decided to air the other two games in progress at the same time.
Yusuf Pathan started the tournament with a bang by scoring a swashbuckling ton in the first innings. Chasing the mammoth total of 551, the visiting side was reeling at 54/4. Pathan brothers then came together and combined for their side.
They added 188 runs partnership for the fifth wicket and kept their team in a respectable position. Yusuf scored 111 runs whereas the skipper made 80 runs as they plundered the bowlers. As Yusuf hit a boundary to reach the landmark, Irfan left his bat at the non-striker’s end, punched the air and went up to his brother clapping, before giving him a hug.
“That’s how the big man @iamyusufpathan got to his 100 #pureemotion #sheerjoy #love,” Irfan wrote in his tweet.
