Modern day cricketers use a number of new, experimental ways to upset the opponents rhythm and destroy them. Particularly, this has changed with the start of T20 cricket, modern cricket is getting faster day by day. It doesn’t allow the players to stick to textbook shots and catches.

You might have seen many bizarre runouts but the below one is more interesting. Neil Wagner, a New Zealand cricketer brought into notice a relatively unsought after the clash of the Plunket Shield match against Canterbury with a silly run-out. The incident occurred during the first day of the match being hosted at Christchurch on Monday, October 23.

Neil Wagner delivered a short-pitch delivery to Tim Johnston, the batsman could only resist the ball down the ground to safety. As the ball was in the vicinity of the batsman, he tried to offer some help to the bowler by trying to reach for it out of the crease.

At that point of time, Neil Wagner was cunning and he found it as an opportunity to dismiss the batsman who was out of his crease. Wagner then dislodged the bails with his throw. After a gaze to the umpire, Johnston embarrassingly moved towards the pavilion.
