Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella Showers Rohit Sharma With Praises, Compares Him With This Senior Cricketer
Cricket is undeniably the most popular sport ever practiced in India. Almost everybody plays it, starting from a village kid to the corporate employee, everybody lays their hands on ball or bat at some point in time in their lives. Now, in a recent interview, Microsoft CEO, an Indian-origin Satya Nadella has revealed that he loves cricket.
During the interview, this 50-year-old prominent personality has opened up about his love for Indian Cricket team. He added that he likes watching Indian opener Rohit Sharma wield his willow to perfection. Nadella, who used to play a lot of cricket in his childhood said, “I love watching Rohit Sharma play, you know that follow through of his, his cover drives. He reminds me of VVS Laxman. When he is on a song, I think he is just glorious to watch.”
Next, to that, the Microsoft CEO then added that skipper Virat Kohli is someone whom he admires a lot because he is very special. He detailed that he often regrets over the fact that he is unable to follow the sport regularly, Nadella said, “Unfortunately, I don’t have time, but I follow it through Cricinfo quite a bit, I love Test cricket. I think Virat Kohli is someone who is very special.”
“Their (Team India’s) fielding, the athleticism, the professionalism, is something else. It is fantastic to see the Indians play like Australians,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, when the question regarding who was his favorite cricketer in the current Indian team, he simply said that it is Ravichandran Ashwin. In his words: “I think R Ashwin is someone who can bowl six different balls in an over, with his variety of balls.”
