Amidst India Vs Sri Lanka Series, Virat Kohli Meets ‘The Great Khali’, Twitter Reactions
Yesterday, on the eve of Friendship day, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has met a special friend of him. Post the winning bait in the second test against Sri Lanka, he met India’s WWE phenomenon ‘The Great Khali’.
Soon after spending some good time with this big man, he on his Twitter handle saying, “It was Great to meet The Great Khali, what a guy!”
Popularly called as ‘Khali’ but originally named Dalip Singh Rana became a household name when he headlined against legendary Undertaker and became quite a fixture in the ring, standing at 7 feet 1 inches and weighing 157kg stout and stud.
Just before meeting Khali, the skipper has answered the few questions shot by the media, he opened up about the ongoing innings and performance of India, poured immense praises on all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
“We said this morning that even if we don’t get wickets early on, we are going to enjoy the tough times because they really improve you as a side and you need those tough times to improve as cricketers, we were very happy that we went through that difficult phase as well, for you never want to get complacent as a side,” said Kohli.
With this victory he will now equal Australia’s modern era record of nine consecutive test series wins when India host Sri Lanka for three matches later in 2017.
