IND vs SL: India Created History By Whitewashing Sri Lanka 3-0 In Test Series, Twitterati Hails Team India
Team India beat Sri Lanka by an innings and 171 runs inside three days in the third and final Test to complete a 3-0 whitewash. Virat Kohli became the first Indian captain to sweep a Test series away from home after the visitors hammered Sri Lanka in the Pallekele Test.
India made it three wins from three Tests after beating Sri Lanka by an innings and 171 runs in the third and final Test. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami took two wickets as India marched towards an innings victory.
Resuming the day at 19 for 2, Sri Lanka lost three wickets in the first session and six more in the extended second innings. Ashwin took four wickets while Mohammed Shami picked up three wickets. Umesh Yadav chipped in with one wicket while Kuldeep Yadav also got a wicket. Earlier, the hosts were bundled out for 135 on Sunday after India posted 487 in their first innings.
This is India’s first ever clean-sweep away from home in a series with at least three Tests.
