Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman Makes Shocking Revelations On Virat Kohli & Jasprit Bumrah Sledging Him During The Champions Trophy Final

It was absolutely Pakistan’s day all the way, with some illuminating shots from either side, Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman bagged an interesting hundred on which the team rode in the Champions Trophy finals against India.

The task was later accomplished by Sarfraz Ahmed who turned down the top order of India. However, it was Fakhar Zaman that changed the course of Pakistan’s fortune in the tournament; including a match-winning hundred against arch-rivals India in the final.

Fakhar is Pakistan’s opener, with two fifties against Sri Lanka in last group stage and against hosts and pre-tournament favorites England in semifinals, made the most of an early reprieve off Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling and slammed his maiden international hundred against India.

Now, after considerably long time, Fakhar made some shocking revelations on Indian players sledging him and his opener partner Azar Ali.

“There was a lot of chatter when Azhar Ali and I were at the crease. Virat was constantly saying, “Arre, ek wicket nikal jayega toh yeh saare out ho jaayenge. Bas ek ko nikaalo jaldi (If we get one wicket, the rest will collapse),” said Fakhar, according to a popular Indian news channel.

“Bumrah had me caught behind, but it was off a no ball. So, he was also very vocal. On one occasion, he said, “Thoda saamne bhi run banaa le. Kab tak aise khelega?(Make some runs in front of the wicket. How long are you going to play like this?),” he added.

Meanwhile, this Pakistani opener later confirmed that the sledging was bearable and not over the line, added that it was cricket-related.

The 27-Year-old batsman also said: “But to be honest, the Indian players didn’t cross any line. Actually, that was purely cricket-related and positive sledging, which is fine. Everyone wants to see his team win and they do their best to achieve that.”

Back then during the post-tournament press meet, Fakhar was quoted saying that Kohli applauded him for the century, meanwhile, Dhoni was calm.
