Pakistani cricketer, Umar Akmal has been fighting hard since few months to earn a place in the national team. As he has failed the fitness tests repeatedly, he was kept out of the ICC Champions Trophy. He has time and again split opinion right down the middle in Pakistan with his inconsistent performances over the years.

Named as the next big thing to come out of Pakistan cricket, the right-handed batsman has failed to live up to his billing and realize his potential. A few days back i.e. on July 12, Umar Akmal suffered another major setback after he was excluded from Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) list of players that received national contracts.

Despite being excluded from the national contract, Umar posted a picture of him, posing next to Bentley, on Twitter. He tweeted, “Enjoying London after hard work.”

Umar was hoping the positive reaction from his fans. However, he didn’t realize that people are going to backfire him for posting the picture. He got trolled badly for it as Twitterati found it funny.

After receiving not so positive responses, Akmal once again took to Twitter and made an appeal to the fans. He wrote, “I Love all my fans. A humble request to all fans please refrain from negative comments. Your prayers and support are always appreciated.”

He is currently training in London to get back in form. Umar Akmal, so far, has played has played in 16 Tests, 116 ODIs, and 82 T20Is.
