Twitter Goes Berserk After DD’s Rishabh Pant Gets Out In The Most Embarrassing Way Possible
What once has happened is always expected to happen, that’s the orthodox way of believing in the positive outputs. The similar situation occurred with the team Delhi Daredevils when the team had their hopes on the young batting sensation Rishabh Pant during the yesterday’s match against Gujarat Lions. DD camp was already down and out in the tournament but had their pride at stake when they took on the Lions.
The target of 196 was given and it already appeared daunting to the team. Right from the very beginning, the team made it up that good batting is must to clinch the game.

This time, at Kanpur, the team took confidence from the way they had previously played against the very same opposition a few matches ago in the season. They had 208 to overhaul back then in Delhi. Some stunning batting display from Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson had seen their side race past the target. How can someone forget the good 143 runs backed by the young duo back then.
The team kept expecting good results analyzing the previous happenings as they had the same opposition, the same player, and a similar mighty target to chase. Hence, the eyes were glued on Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant. Samson was cleaned up cheaply on 10. In walked Pant at the crease brimming with confidence. On the very first ball that he faced, he hit a four to announce his arrival gallantly.
But, what happened next is something so much embarrassing, Pant was run out on the very next ball in one the most bizarre fashions that one could see on the cricket field. He had a brain fade moment at the crease. Pradeep Sangwan managed to hit his pads as the Lions fielders appealed in unison. He was so much involved in the lbw appeal that he forgot he was out of the crease at that moment.
Taking advantage of this, the Gujarat Lions’ skipper Suresh Raina cashed in big time to hit the stumps and get him run out. The dismissal was not the first time he has been out in this fashion. Surprisingly, earlier in the ICC U19 World Cup 2016, Pant faced a similar situation.

The one time Rishabh Pant should not have batted at no.3, DD send him out with a half-injured hand. Well played as ever! #DDvsGL #IPL pic.twitter.com/VvQJJ5YzlD

Rishabh Pant has a habit of being casual, he was made to pay today as well as during the final of the U-19 World Cup in 2016. #IPL #GLvDD pic.twitter.com/1372WMu6Ku
