Twitter Explodes As Rising Pune Supergiants Clinches The Match From Kings XI With 78 In 12 Overs
This IPL season is becoming intrigued day by day with every day passing, leaving some astounding impressions, there’s no room for estimations and approximations, the game is all different. With the conspiracy circled 50th match, the post matches also sounded quite interesting, earlier, before the beginning of this 55th match of this season, it was totally impossible to guess which team wins the bait. This match is quite a vital one as the winner gets the chance to enter the playoffs.
However, Kings XI slipped their chances losing the match to Rising Pune Supergiants. Punjab chose to bat first, but it appears like fate has some other thing to direct the Punjab team, as they ended up walking into the pavilion with little 73 runs in 15.5 overs. And it was all the ace bowler Shardul Thakur’s blistering show bagging in 3 wickets giving away only 19 runs in 4 overs.
With the deliberate bad beginning, the opener Martin Guptill gave up his strike with giving away his strike delivering the catch at the first ball itself. This inception played a role of splendid motivation for the team, letting the Kings XI march with the 32/5 in the middle and spinning off the total of 73 runs.
Despite all the players heading out of the ground at minimum possible runs, it was only Axar Patel who made a little contribution for Punjab scoring a 22. It is well known that Adam Zampa has managed a comeback replacing Imran Tahir who clinched a couple of wickets along with Dan Christian and Jaydev Unadkat. The left-arm seamer has been exceptional in the tournament so far and it was no different today.
Though it is well assumed that Pune might attain its victory within the first 10 overs, Kings XI has played a good defense, however ending up losing the match at mere 12 overs. Ajinkya Rahane and captain Steve Smith is batting well requiring 16 more runs to win the match.
And Twitter Reactions:
Well that was less then ideal…

This @ImIshant has bowled more than 100 balls in this #IPL without any wicket, #Gambhir was right not spending money on him. #RPSvKXIP

Ishant scored more than Maxwell and Guptill. I bet no one will talk about this. They just discuss his failure. #ipl

Sehwag must have told Punjab batsmen to go “all out for a win”.
At 32/5 they are halfway there.— Ramesh Srivats (@rameshsrivats) May 14, 2017
Shardul Thakur must be feeling great with this performance against his former team KXIP who had sent him back midway last year#RPSvKXIP
