Virat Kohli Had One Final Parting Blow For The Australians, Bashes Them Despite Smith Apology
Finally, the things had calmed down at the end of an intense Test Series between India and Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Throughout the series, we had seen many sledging moments, brain fade moments and few embarrassing moments. Apart from all these, team India won the Series 2-1 and reclaimed the Trophy.
In the post-match presentation ceremony, Australia Captain Steve Smith said while talking, “I have been pretty intense throughout this series. I really wanted to do well for the team. At times I have been in my own bubble and have let my emotions slip. I apologize for that.” Smith was fabulous throughout the series with the bat but was gracious in defeat.
Steve Smith has apologised twice (in presentation n PC) for letting emotions get better of him this series. Classy! #INDvAUS

In the Bangalore Test, Virat Kohli had stopped short of calling Steve Smith a cheat for his ‘DRS Brain Fade’ moment after which a section of Australian Cricketers and their media targeted him and called and compared him with US president Donald Trump. After Kohli got injured during the series, the Australian cricketers were seen making fun of Kohli’s shoulder injury and in the final match, Smith had called Murali Vijay a “f**king cheat.”
Virat Kohli Says, Australian Players Are No Longer Our Friends:
But, India Captain Virat Kohli seems unhappy with the way the visitors behaved against him and his team. Hence, he came with a final parting blow that is sure to sting the Aussies for a long time to come. India’s skipper Kohli had been at the thick of the action during the course of the series, whether he was on the field, injured, or off it.

Virat Kohli, in a press meet, said, “I no longer consider the Australian Cricketers as my friends after being targeted both on and off the field in a fiercely-fought Test series.” At the end of the rubber, which India won 2-1, an Australian scribe asked if Kohli still considered Smith’s men his friends off the field as he had said at the start of the series, the skipper gave a no holds barred answer.
“No, it has changed for sure. I thought that was the case but it has changed for sure. As I said in the heat of the battle, you want to be competitive but yeah I have been proven wrong. The thing I said before the first Test, I have certainly been proven wrong and you won’t hear me say that ever again,” Kohli said.
Smith apologizes. Kohli indicates friendships are over.
What a shame it comes to this after such a brilliant series…

But Kohli made sure the visitors knew that he wasn’t impressed with their aggression through the course of their tour. On the face of it, it appeared that the Indians gave back as good as they got, but by the skipper’s words, you can be sure that there was plenty that wasn’t caught on camera.
