Pakistani Batsman Ahmed Shehzad Manages To Comeback After A Brutal Neck Injury In 4th T20 Against West Indies
An unfortunate incident took place on-field for the Pakistani cricket buffs, as their opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad suffered a neck injury colliding with the West Indies’ Chadwick Walton while running across the pitch.
This accident during the four-match series in Port of Spain frozen the entire sportive environment at the ground leaving everyone worried, the player suffered the concussion for a while right after taking the hit. This took place during the last ball of the fourth over being bowled by Sohail Tanvir.
The respective fielder at the edge, Shehzad, while trying to stop a single by Marlon Samuels, collided with the other West Indies batsman at the crease, then fell to the ground after hitting Chadwick’s pads. He was then carried off in an ambulance.
Shane Hayes, Pakistan Team Physiotherapist said:
“Initially, [Shehzad] showed concussion signs and pain within the neck.”
Later, he added that Shehzad was “removed from play and sent to the hospital for further investigations.”

Despite the suggestions from the coaches and the authorities, Ahmed returned to the field soon after is health condition was bettered.
Earlier to that, the West Indies had won the toss and allowed Pakistan to bat first, restricting the team at 132 runs in the first innings.
