Partnership with Malaysia’s IHH, Fortis May Get New Name

Fortis is one of the best known medical treatment center situated in Delhi. The recent news came up from Delhi, Malaysia’s IHH healthcare offers Rs 400 crore to Fortis for the entirely own control. On this Friday Fortis healthcare board approved the offer of Malaysia’s IHH healthcare.

 

 

Earlier Malaysia’s IHH healthcare is having the 31.1% stake in the. IHH is one of the biggest healthcare centers in the world. Now they shifted their focus to own the maximum stakes of the Fortis hospital. Fortis hospital is India’s second largest healthcare chain.

From the reports, we came to found that, IHH now takes over an additional 26% stake other than their 31.1%.

By doing this, they have a total of 57.1% of the total stake which means IHH owns Fortis hospital very soon.

In the decision of taking another 26% stake, IHH also stated that they have the long-term goal to renovate the structure of Fortis and make it like their own Gleneagles chain.

Malaysia’s healthcare offered Fortis to infuse the capital at face value of Rs 170 per share.

 

 

Statement of Fortis healthcare

Fortis healthcare stated that it would take another six to seven business days, after getting the receipt from all shareholder and approval of CCI. We should seek approval of all the shareholders who are having their stakes in Fortis. They also added that it would take about 60-70 days in the whole procedure.

Statement of Ravi Rajagopal

Ravi Rajagopal who is the chairman of the Fortis Healthcare give his views on the development of Fortis and said that the proposal from the IHH is totally strategical and financially suitable for the event. The offers include simplicity. By approving the provide of IHH Fortis is on the path of the survival and prosperity.

Tan See who is the Managing director of Malaysia ’s said that we would infuse more funds in future if needed. Currently, we analyzed that the Fortis healthcare required 5800-6000 crore. By keeping this in mind, we decided to introduce 4000 crores in the first stage.

 

 

Apart from this Fortis has another 45 healthcare facilities which include some projects in Dubai, India, Mauritius and Sri Lanka. These projects include near about 368 diagnostics centers on above-stated countries.
