Joe Biden, the President-Elect of the United States of America, said that he will be joining former presidents in receiving the coronavirus vaccine on national television.

During an interview with CNN, Joe Biden said that he would be happy to receive the vaccine once it will be deemed safe by Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Biden said during the interview:

That’s the moment in which I will stand before the public. People have lost faith in the ability of the vaccine to work. Already the numbers are really staggeringly low, and it matters what the president and vice president do.

This comes after Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, the former presidents of the USA, agreed to receive the vaccine on live TV to assure the public that it will be safe to get.

In a poll that was carried out in the USA, it was revealed that only 58 percent of Americans said that they will be taking the vaccine.

Talking about the former presidents, Biden said:

I think that my three predecessors have set the model as to what should be done, saying, once it’s declared to be safe… then obviously we take it and it’s important to communicate to the American people.

During an interview that was carried out earlier, Barack Obama, the former president of the USA, said:

People like Anthony Fauci, who I know, and I’ve worked with, I trust completely. So, if Anthony Fauci tells me this vaccine is safe, and can vaccinate, you know, immunise you from getting COVID, absolutely, I’m going to take it. I promise you that when it’s been made for people who are less at risk, I will be taking it. I may end up taking it on TV or having it filmed, just so that people know that I trust this science, and what I don’t trust is getting COVID.
