Taapsee Pannu Asks Media To Recommend Her For The Role Of Mithali Raj In A Movie

Taapsee Pannu, a Bollywood actress, said she would love to play Mithali Raj, a former skipper for the women’s cricket team of India, in a movie.

Taapsee also confirmed that she has not received any offers for the movie.

Rumors suggested that Pannu agreed to play as Mithali Raj in a movie, but during an event last week, Pannu cleared out that she has not received any offers for the role.

Pannu said, “If I get it then it will be amazing to play cricket. You all please recommend my name to them. I wish I get to play this role. I really wanted to get signed for that film.”

Taapsee, who is 31-years-old, also talked about Saand Ki Aankh, her upcoming movie.

She said, “It is one of the most challenging roles of my career. I feel making the decision of taking up acting wasn’t as challenging as taking up this role but I have no regrets about it.”

She added, “I am very excited and anxious about the film, especially after getting a good response to the teaser. The level of excitement has gone up in me and Bhumi (Pednekar; her co-star in the film). I am waiting for Diwali when our film will be released.”

Here is the official teaser of Saand Ki Aankh:

Taapsee also talked about the comments Rangoli Chandel made about Varun Dhawan and her for not mentioning her sister’s name when Pannu praised the trailer of Judgementall Hai Kya.

Rangoli Chandel is the sister of Kangana Ranaut.

Tapsee said, “When you are getting trolled, it means you matter. If you are not getting trolled, it means nobody wants to spend time and energy on you and you don’t matter to anyone.”

Saand Ki Aankh is a movie that is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and is produced by Anurag Kashya, Nidhi Parmar, and Reliance Entertainment. The movie stars Tapsee Pannu, Prakash Jha, and Bhumi Padnekar as its main characters. The movie will hit theaters in India on October 25, 2019.
