About CBSE CTET Exam 2016:

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has laid down the minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII and has decided to take a common test for the posts of Teachers (Primary or Elementary level) in all schools of Central Government like Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) (Central Schools), Navodaya Vidyalaya, Tibetan Schools etc. This may be extended or adopted by private schools for teacher recruitment. One of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for the appointment as a teacher in any of the schools is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government. The responsibility of this examination is given the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CBSE has now come up with the notification of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2016). All those who want to make a career as a teacher, must appear in this exam as this is a very good opportunity.

CBSE CTET Exam Pattern 2016:

  • The CTET paper is conducted in two parts, Paper 1 and Paper 2
  • Paper 1 is conducted for the recruitment of teachers for I to V classes and Paper 2 will be held for who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
  • The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2015 September) will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) which will be of one mark each. There will be four alternatives out of which only one answer will be correct. There is no negative marking.

CTET Paper 1 Pattern

This paper consists of 30 Questions based on the Multiple Choice Type and the total marks of this paper are 150.  Questions are asked from the different subjects, which are given below. Time allocated for the exam is 2.30 hrs.
