Vacancy Details, Number Of Attempts and Other Important Details for UPSC Civil Services 2019

The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) released the official notice for the fast approaching Civil Services Examination 2019. The Union Public Service Commission is going to conduct the preliminary exam on June 2, 2019. The Union Public Service Commission is going to conduct the Main Exam on September 20, 2019, for those who got qualified in the preliminary exam. The UPSC Civil Services Exam 2019 is going to be conducted to recruit for Indian Administrative services and the Indian Forest Services.

In the official notice that was released by the UPSC, it said that they are going to fill up the 90 vacancies that are available in the Indian Forest Services and 896 vacancies in the Indian Civil Services, this also includes 39 vacancies for disabled people.

The age limit for the UPSC Civil Services

All candidates should be at least 21-years-old and should not be older than 32-years-old by August 1, 2019. Example, the candidates must be born before August 2, 1987, and not after August 1, 1998. For the relaxation of the age limit, all candidates are asked to refer to the official notice that is available on their official website.

The Eligibility for the UPSC Civil Services

For the Indian Forest Services, all candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology. Candidates can also apply if they have a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering.

For the Indian Civil Services, all candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree that they got from a recognized university in the county of India.

 

The Number of Attempts for the UPSC Civil Services

Candidates who are going to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Exam is going to have 6 attempts in the exam.

If you are from a Scheduled Caste or from a Scheduled Tribe, you will have no restriction on the number of attempts in the exam.

The number of attempts that belongs to the Backward Classes is 9. The relaxation is going to be available to those candidates who are allowed to avail the reservation that is applicable to such candidates.

Candidates who are disabled will get the same numbers of attempts with the others based on their community. All candidates that are disabled who belong to the general category will get 9 attempts.
