We all travel in trains once in a while and it is one of the safest and best journeys ever, isn’t it?
In India, trains are one of the important means of transport. Every day, millions of people travel by train for jobs, offices, schools, and colleges. Few people regularly travel on trains and reach their destinations quickly.
Though they travel regularly, they might not be aware of some things related to trains and the journey on it. People who frequently travel on the train might have seen a big ‘X’ at the tail of train. Have you ever wondered what the letter ‘X’ mean?
No problem, we will tell you about it and it is an important information. The letter ‘X’ indicates that the train is complete and there is no problem in between.
If you had observed thoroughly, the training staff will fix a red lamp near the letter ‘X’ and it glows every five seconds. Earlier. it is said that oil was used to make it shine but now electric power supply is used for the same.
At the bottom right corner to the ‘X’, there will be a board hanging with letters ‘LV’. We can see those letters in two colors, either in black or white. It indicates that the train is safe.
If the board is missing, it is a message for authorities that the train is in danger and immediate steps are needed to be taken.
