Get Rid of Unwanted Hair Permanently With These Simple Home Remedies

Let’s face it. Although it’s quite normal to have some hair all over your body, having it on visible areas like hands, feet, face and back can seriously undermine a woman’s self-esteem.

Unwanted hair growth occurs due to an imbalance of hormones in the body, irregular menstrual cycle, etc. In some cases, conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), adrenal gland tumors, or even medications can also lead to unwanted hair growth. Whatever the cause, unwanted hair is annoying. And removal techniques like waxing, laser hair removal, and electrolysis can be unaffordable to some. Plus, these removal techniques are more painful and aggressive and can lead to swelling, skin irritation, rashes, and bumps.

Luckily, there are some natural hair removal treatments that will not only save you lots of money but will also give you the same, if not better long-term effects. In addition, these homemade hair removal remedies cause no side effects.

1. TUMERIC PASTE

Turmeric has been in use for treating skin diseases for centuries in India. Turmeric powder, in combination with various other ingredients (water, milk, or yogurt), is known to slow down the growth of unwanted hair and eventually stop it from re-growing. Turmeric will enable easy hair removal, which is painless yet quite permanent. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that keep skin clear and healthy.

Ingredients:

  • Tumeric powder
  • Milk (can be replaced with Rosewater)
  • Warm water

Directions:

  • Mix turmeric and milk together (about a 3:1 ratio of turmeric to milk) to make a thick turmeric paste
  • Spread the paste onto your skin in the same direction of your hair growth and allow it to dry.
  • Wash off with the towel which has been soaked in warm water. Scrub your skin in a circular motion to remove the paste.
  • Pat dry and repeat the treatment every few days to loosen hair follicles and thus, remove the hair.
  • To remove the yellow stains, simply scrub your skin with a little baking soda and soap.

  • After applying a moderately thick layer on the skin, put a cotton cloth or a commercially available waxing strip on the area to be waxed and press it tenderly.
