Half Of All Women Have A Backup Partner On Standby In Case Current Relationship Fails To Work Out

When it comes to life, having a plan B can help you stay calm. But this type of plan only applies to certain things such as restaurants, cities to travel, choice of food, hiring people, and etc. Having a plan B in a relationship is something you should avoid. But it looks like not everyone agrees with this fact, especially women.

A new survey suggests that 50 percent of women already have a “fall-back” partner on standby in case their current relationship fails to work out.

In a report that was published by the DailyMail UK, 50 percent of the women admitted that they had a fall-back partner who has somehow fancied them.

In a survey that was done, 1 out of 10 women admitted that their “Plan B” already confessed that they have feelings for them, and 5 out of 10 women said they already have a backup partner even if they are already in a relationship.

The research said, “Four in ten women also confessed that their feelings for the backup partner are as strong as they have for their actual current partner. Moreover, 12% of women admitted that they feel more strongly for their backup partner as compared to their present lover.”

50 percent of the women who took part in the said survey said that their current partner somewhat knew about their Plan B.

Some of the women in the survey even admitted that their current partner already has met the Plan B.

When asked if they think this is cheating, the women said nothing would ever happen with the “Plan B”, so they’re not cheating in their relationship.

A spokesperson of the OnePoll.com, the company that did the survey, said, “For our research to establish that 50 percent of women in relationships have a ‘Plan B’ is a worrying sign. This news may cause a few men in relationships to think twice about not taking the rubbish out or choosing a night down the pub in favor of a cozy night in with his partner.”

The spokesperson added, “ This could spark fear in men across the UK and be great news for women looking for that extra bit of love and care so that their attentions aren’t swayed. The saying that “the grass isn’t always greener” clearly isn’t deterring women of today. They understand that anything can happen and are ensuring they have a solid back up plan should things go sour with their current man.”

The spokesperson continued, “With sites like Facebook and Twitter, it’s easier than ever to stay in touch with an old flame. Men need to be aware of any ‘old friends’ that turn up out of the blue that’s for sure.”

12 percent of the women who took part in the survey said their feelings were stronger for the “Plan B”.

7 out of 10 women admitted that they are currently in contact with their “Plan B”.

The study suggested that married women are more likely to have Plan B than those who are in a normal relationship.

The study also found out that the “Plan B” of those women is an old friend, ex-boyfriend, colleague, old fling, or a person that they met at their gym.
