Even a kid is aware of the importance of wearing helmet thanks to the deep awareness created.
Do you believe that a man lost his life in a fatal accident even after wearing a helmet?
The biker was riding fast and he lost control of it. He fell off the ground. Despite wearing Rs 50,000 worth helmet, he laid unconscious and there was no bleeding injury. Yet police wanted to take him to the hospital and tried opening his helmet. Their attempts went in vain and the cops realized the helmet got locked and it could not be opened. With head stuck in his helmet, he succumbed to a brain stroke.
The biker was identified as 30-year-old Rohit Singh, who works as a sales manager in Jaguar and Land Rover showroom. He was riding his 22 lakh bike and lost his life near World Trade Park on JNL Marg in Jaipur on Wednesday. Although he was wearing an expensive helmet, the safety measure couldn’t save his life.
The accident took place when he was trying to save two people who were trying to cross the road on a U-turn. Rohit’s bike skid in the attempt and he severely got injuries on his head. People gathered around him and tried to remove the helmet from his head but they couldn’t.
When the onlookers could not take off Rohit’s helmet, they took him to a nearby hospital where the doctors had to cut loose his helmet. It was too late to save his life as he died due to excessive bleeding inside. One of the youths, identified as Akhilesh Kumar, was also seriously injured in the accident. The deceased’s family has filed a complaint against the youth for his alleged negligence.
These helmets usually have a snug finish so that they don’t move around while the motorcycle travels at high speeds. The man, who the biker had hit with his bike, was also seriously injured in the accident. A photo released by ANI of the superbike post the crash shows the severity of the impact. Plastic parts on the front of the bike have completely been ripped apart and so has the handlebar.
