On June 20 every year, the world celebrates the World Refugee Day. The day was made official on December 4, 2000, by the United Nations General Assembly in Resolution 55/76 which stated that June 20 will be marked as a celebration for the World Refugee Day.

We live in a world where violence has forced out countless families to movie out their homes, this happens every day.

The world refugee day is made to show that everyone on this planet stands with its refugees and that we are willing to help them in all costs.

And on the World Refugee 2019, the world will commemorate the courage, strength, and perseverance of all the refugees on this planet. The day will also serve as the best day to show support to those people who were forced to move out of their homes.

More than 100 countries across the globe celebrate the World Refugee Day on June 20, many organizations celebrate this day too.

1. Nearly 42,500 people fly out from their homes to seek protection within the borders of their country or their neighboring countries.
2. The largest refugee camp on Earth is located in Dadaab, Kenya. The camp is home to nearly 330,000 people.
3. 51 percent of the refugees in the world are under 18-years-old.
4. There are nearly 10.5 million refugees worldwide.
5. Out of the 10.5 million refugees, nearly 2 million are from Syria.
6. Developing countries host 80% of the world’s refugees.

Even if refugees are provided with assistance, safety, protection by their government or other governments, agencies, private organizations, and donors, they still do not have a permanent home. They are provided with tents and other things that they need in order to survive.

Refugees have been through a lot and by being a human, they deserve some love and support.
