A single father is currently viral on social media right now for the amazing act of kindness that he just did.

A single father from the United States of America, adopted 5 foster siblings so they could stay and grow up together.

Robert Carter, the man that we are talking about, started to foster his 3 songs, Robert Jr., Giovanni, and Kiontae in December 2019, but later, he discovered that the brothers had 2 other sisters.

He found out that Marionna and Makayla, the sisters of the brothers, were also in the foster home.

The siblings had spent 6 months living away from each other, however, the kind father made an effort to help them get together.

He took his sons to visit their sisters.

The kids did not want to leave each other and would cry when they were going back to their houses after spending time together.

Right at that moment, Carter said that he knew he had to adopt all 5 of the kids.

With his plan in place, he started to work hard in order to get a bigger house, where he and his children could stay together.

On October 23 this year, which is the Adoption Day, Carter officially adopted all 5 siblings in Hamilton County, Ohio.

Stacey Barton, the Adoption Case Manager, said that she had never seen a single father adopt 5 children all together before.

Barton said:

I’ve had married couples who have adopted six or seven, so this was a unique experience for me. Children need families, and it’s an opportunity for Mr. Carter to show the community that he can do it and others can too.

The reason behind Carter doing this amazing act is because he had gone through something similar to this before.

When he was 12, he was placed in foster care and his mother had 9 kids at that time.

He was separated from his own siblings, said Carter.

Carter said:

For me going through that, I knew how important it is for them to see each other and be around each other. When I had my boys before I got the girls, that’s all they talked about was their sisters. I’m relieved because I tried to go through the process before and it didn’t work out, but now I’m just happy that it’s over and I’m their dad for the rest of their life, and they know that they’ll never have to go through what they went through again.

During an interview with WLWT, Carter admitted that it took some time for 1 of his new daughters to warm up.

Marionna, the daughter, did not like him at first.

However, that has changed.

Carter said that Marionna recently walked into his room and said:

I just want to say thanks for taking us in and taking care of us when our real mom couldn’t.

Carter said that the words of Marionna really touched him.

The father said he is there for his kids no matter what will happen in life.
