Odisha, India: A 10-year-old boy was killed by a crocodile after he went to a reservoir with a friend to take a bath.
According to the police the incident happened in Malkangiri, Odisha.
The incident happened when 2 school students went to the reservoir, which is located on the Sileru River, for a quick bath on the afternoon of June 28, 2020.
The news was confirmed by the police.
10-year-old Kailash Majhi was dragged into the water by a crocodile.
Locals were alerted about the incident by the other boy.
The village head and other locals found the mutilated body of the boy floating in the reservoir later that day.
According to reports, 3 crocodiles were spotted in the reservoir which had attacked goats and cows.
