3 people killed and 10 injured after overloaded SUV falls in a 200 ft. deep Gorge in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir

3 people have been confirmed dead after a SUV travelling to Bhalla fell in a Gorge in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir. Officials added that 10 people have attained injuries in the accident.

The three dead people have been identified as Badal, Chanku Ram, and Ashwani Kumar. All three of them are from Kumari in Bhalli.

The vehicle was overloaded and it skidded off the road before falling into a 200 ft. gorge.

The SUV was carrying 13 passengers in total when its passenger limit is only 9.

Officials said that the incident happened on Thursday night when the vehicle was on its way to Bhalla, a city in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir.

The 200 feet gorge is located near the Khaleeni Belt.

The police launched a search and rescue operation to recover the 13 people in the SUV, all 13 passengers of the SUV were rushed to the district hospital in Doda.

The doctors at the district hospital declared 3 people as dead upon arrival.

3 out of the 10 injured people are currently in critical condition.
