3 members of a family, which includes a 4-month-old infant and its parents, were stabbed to death in a village in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and 2 people were severely injured.

According to Pankaj Kumar Pandey, the Azamgarh Superintendent of Police, villagers of the Ibrahimpur Village found the dead bodies of 35-year-old Irfan, 32-year-old Sadiya, and their 4-month-old baby with stab wounds.

The incident happened under the jurisdictions of the Mubarakpur Police Station.

Upon finding the dead bodies of the family members, the villagers reported the incident to the police.

A police team, forensic team, and a dog squad were rushed to the crime scene and an investigation was launched right away.

According to SP Pandey, 2 people were injured in the same village and they were rushed to the local hospital.

Authorities are now trying to find out the motive behind the family killing.
