Delhi Airport: Man Arrested For Smuggling Gold Worth Rs. 31 Lakh, 7 Gold Bars Found Inside Rectum

New Delhi International Airport: Ahmed Washir, a man coming from Dubai, was arrested by the authorities for trying to smuggle gold bars worth Rs. 31 lakhs, which were placed inside his rectum.

Washir arrived at T-3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

His personal belongings went through an x-ray scanning machine, and nothing was objectionable was found. But when he passed through a metal detector, it raised the red flag.

Upon a thorough search, the police found 7 bars of gold tightly fitted inside his rectum. The bars weighed over 810 grams, and each bar weighed over 100 grams.

The gold found inside the man’s rectum is believed to be worth around Rs. 31.86 lakhs.

The man was arrested by the police under the relevant sections of the Customs Act.

Further investigation has been launched.
