Himachal Pradesh Woman Commits Suicide After Failing Police Constable Exam

Chamba, Himachal Pradesh: A woman from Chamba committed suicide by consuming poison after she failed to qualify for the post of police constable.

The Superintendent of the Chamba Police confirmed the news.

The Superintendent said the woman appeared for the police constable exam earlier this year and committed suicide by consuming poison after she found out she failed the exam.

She was rushed to a hospital in Shahpur and was referred to Tanda, but she eventually passed away.

An autopsy has been done, and the body of the woman has been returned to her family.

Over 38,000 aspirants appeared for the police constable exam, and only 12, 705 candidates qualified the test.

The exam results were announced on Friday.

No suicide note was recovered from the house premises of the woman, further investigation has been launched.
