Indian Border Guards Dress Up As Bears To Scare Away Dozens Of Monkeys

A number of Indian border guards were caught on cam dressing up as bears to scare away dozens of monkeys.

The ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police) guards were caught on camera wearing bear costumes on the border of Tibet and India’s Eastern Uttarakhand province.

In the area, a number of macaques took over the landscape.

A couple of pesky monkeys could be seen edging over closer to the camp’s building, but all of a sudden, they started to run in the opposite direction.

It is still not clear if the guards in the video tried to scare the monkeys in their regular attire.

The video of the hilarious incident was shared by Neeta Sharma and said the guards were wearing costumes of jungle beards.

While sharing the video on Twitter, she said: “#ITBP jawans found a unique way to scare monkeys in #Uttrakhand They dressed like jungle bears! See how monkeys ran away in seconds @ITBP_official.”

The efforts of the guards paid off as the macaques in the area scattered and ran for their lives.

Call me crazy, but if it works, it is not a stupid idea.

Well done guards, you managed to scare away the monkeys.
