Indian Man Uses Fake Mayor Car Sticker To Drive Around City During Coronavirus Lockdown

Mumbai, India: The police have arrested a 54-year-old businessman that used a fake mayor sticker on his car so he could move around during the coronavirus lockdown.

According to the police, the incident happened in Matunga, Central Mumbai.

Kamlesh Shah, a businessman, and his son were arrested by the police as they were driving by the Maheshwari Udyan on the evening of Wednesday.

They were arrested by the police after they got intercepted in the vehicle.

A police officer asked for identification and realized that the sticker on the car was not authentic and was just a photocopy.

The 2 then admitted that they were using the sticker and car to enjoy movement throughout the city during this coronavirus pandemic.

The 2 were arrested by the police and are currently facing charges under sections 465 (forgery), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), and other relevant provisions of the IPC (Indian Penal Code).
