Gujarat, India: Arvind Raiyani, an MLA from Rajkot, was seen spitting in a government-run community kitchen that serves food during this coronavirus crisis to the poor, in a video that is viral on the internet.

Raiyani was seen spitting on the floor as people were making food for the needy people of Rajkot during the nationwide lockdown.

On Friday, Raiyani released a picture of him showing a receipt where he’s fined Rs 500 (over $6 USD)  for spitting in a public place.

It is believed that the receipt was given by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation.

Raiyani belongs to the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), which is the party that has the most seats in the country.
