Indian Railways: Train Snack Vendor Caught Mixing Toilet Water In Tea And Coffee

A shocking video that is viral on social media shows an Indian Railways vendor adding water from a train’s toilet in the tea and coffee that he was selling.

The incident reportedly happened on a train that was headed from Chennai to Hyderabad.

It happened on a Chennai Central-Hyderabad Charminar Express at Secunderabad railway station in December last year, according to ANI.

According to the South Central Railway, the vendor that was in the video had been slapped with an Rs. 1 lakh fine.

However, people are saying that the man needs more punishment.

In the video that went viral, it shows the vendor coming out of a train toilet with steel filter cans of tea and coffee.

When a passenger questioned him, he refused to answer and was caught red-handed mixing toilet water in it.

M Umashankar Kumar, the chief public relations of SCR, said that the vendors in the video are unauthorized hakwers.

Kumar added:

 An inquiry was conducted, and on the basis of it stringent action has been taken up against the Train Side Vending contractor for the section between Secunderabad and Kazipet, P Sivaprasad, with whom the identified vendor in the video was employed……A penalty of Rs 1 lakh has been levied on the licensee, through the IRCTC, the contracting agency.
