Kajum Bagra Son of BJP Minister Tumke Tagra gets Life Imprisonment for fatally shooting a man in 2017

Kajum Bagra, the son of Arunachal Pradesh Industries minister Tumke Tagra, has pleaded guilty in murdering Kenjum Kamsi outside a hotel in Aolo in 2017. The district court has sentenced him to serve life imprisonment.

On March 26, 2017, Kajum Bagra fatally shot Kenjum Kamsi outside the Hotel West in Aolo, in the district of West Siang.

The investigating officers said that Kajum shot Kamsi after an altercation broke out between them.

The officers added that the altercation broke out over the payment of a contract.

According to the court papers, Kajum Bagra admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol when the incident happened.

A CCTV that was installed outside the hotel captured the entire crime.

Kajum Bagra was charged under the Indian Penal Code section 27(1) of the arms act.

But, the son of the minister did not plead guilty to the charges for murder and violation of the Arms Act.

In 2017, Tumke Tagra was the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh.
